We are thrilled to share the exciting news that our highly anticipated feature film, formerly recognized as 'Falkland Square,' has undergone a renaming process in preparation for its global release. While this decision was not taken lightly, our collective aim is to ensure the utmost success for the film. Brace yourself as "I Was A Soldier" marches onto streaming platforms this Autumn.
I Was A Soldier (under the name Falkland Square) was on the 2022 / 23 festival circuit and was officially selected at several renowned festivals. Some of the festival selection included; Birmingham FF, Manchester FF, Milton Keynes IFF, Vancouver IFF & Liverpool IA.
In March 2023 Lexicon Film Productions partnered with American distributor Random Media. I Was A Soldier will be releasing via streaming platforms in North America & Europe Spring 2024.
Filming took place between September - October 2019 with a 6 week shoot. Due Covid-19 post production was delayed up to nearly a year. The film had its London & Cheltenham cinema premiere in May 2022.
